Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and possess excellent delivery driver experience. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all road regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries in a safe and responsible manner to deliver goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the transportation process.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record; HGV licence preferred. Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with flatbed vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism while representing the company on the road.
