We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tramping Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately for transport. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic and road conditions. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transport. Ensure that all paperwork related to deliveries is completed accurately and submitted on time.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence. Experience with liquids and bulk containers is highly desirable. Strong navigation skills and familiarity with road networks. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. A commitment to safety practices and procedures in all aspects of driving and cargo handling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.54-19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
