Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in flatbed operations being highly advantageous. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all transport regulations and safety protocols are adhered to.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and compliant with safety standards. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic and weather conditions. Load and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is essential. Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is required. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. A professional attitude towards work, demonstrating reliability and commitment to quality service.
