Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service. A background in commercial driving is highly desirable, but not essential. Nights Out will be required.

Duties

Operate a curtainside lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on commercial driving. Proficient in operating commercial vehicles, with a solid understanding of load securing techniques. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times. Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
