Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a 44 tonne artic with a tipping trailer or moving floor. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience with tipping or moving floor trailers and a proven track record as an artic driver.

Responsibilities

Operate a tipping or moving floor artic lorry to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork related to shipments. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays or problems. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety and vehicle maintenance.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence is essential. Experience driving tipping or moving floor artic lorries is preferred but not mandatory. Previous work as a tipping or moving floor driver is advantageous, demonstrating strong navigation skills and customer service abilities. A clean driving record, with no serious violations or accidents in the past three years. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required by delivery schedules.

Pay: 151.06-163.61 per day
