Job Overview

We are looking for Drivers who are energetic, personable and safe. All drivers should have a clean driving record and driving licence but drivers with up to 6 points may be considered.

Drivers will generally work 10 hour shifts, between 6am and 4pm daily.

HGV Driver Requirements

Hold a valid commercial driving licence to a minimum category C, however C+E would be highly desirable Have a Professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card Be able to speak, read and understand English satisfactorily Have a maximum of 6 penalty points in the driver's licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements) Over the age of 21 for fleet insurance purposes A valid CSCS card would be advantageous Pass a standard drug and alcohol test if required FORS professional development training would be highlight desirable NPORS or CPCS desirable HIAB training would be beneficial

HGV Driver Responsibilities

Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to fulfil deliveries and/or collections on time Interact with colleagues and clients in a professional manner Work occasional weekends Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and notify manager of any issues Drive in inclement weather, such as light snow Assist in the loading /unloading of scaffolding materials Assist in yard work when not undertaking deliveries and/or collections of scaffolding to and from our sites

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour
