Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Assist with flatbed deliveries as required, demonstrating proficiency in securing loads safely.

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed operations is advantageous. A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence is essential. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
