Job Title: HGV Driver & Yard Operative

Location: Hucknall (occasional work at other sites will required)

Full Time - Permanent

Pay: from 14 / hour, dependent on experience

James Mellors Limited are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver with secondary yard operative roles when not driving, working predominantly from our facilities near Hucknall (NG15) and other sites around the UK (some overseas travel will be necessary).

James Mellors Limited is a family run business specialising in the design, fabrication, maintenance, refurbishment, installation & operation of rides, attractions and customer experiences.

Responsibility and Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for the distribution of our goods, amusement devices, rides and / or rollercoasters throughout the UK and some internationally. Carry out daily checks on vehicle and ancillary equipment and reports all issues to suitable line managers for repair. Assisting with loading and unloading operations using forklifts / telehandlers, and securing loads. When not driving it will be expected for you to work in our yard undertaking other tasks as the business requires (storing returned goods, removing goods from storage ready for delivery, general yard maintenance, ride maintenance, vehicle maintenance etc.)

Person Specifications:

Experience in moving out of gauge loads - wide / long loads. Ideally have, although not essential, experience on forklifts / telehandlers. Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team is essential. Ability to listen to instructions and carry out work in the way requested. A good work ethic and attitude.
Majority of works will be completed in normal working hours Monday - Friday however some out of hours working and overnight stop outs, and work in other sites will be required to meet the business needs.
