Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced class 1 driver for a company in Runcorn offering temp to perm contracts. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring timely supermarket/ cages deliveries.

Responsibilities

Temp to perm following 13 weeks with agency 3 days (paid) training provided 4 on 4 off schedule (12 to 14 hour shift per day) Days or nights available (DAYS= 19 p/h, NIGHTS= 21 P/H) DBS check is mandatory (paid by the company) Supermarket/ cages work Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing methods are used to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Experience

Proven experience as a class 1 driver for 1+ year or in a similar role, preferably with supermarkets Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members professionally.
