Bolton Brothers, a family-owned Waste & Recycling business based in Gt Blakenham (approximately 5 miles from Ipswich) have a vacancy for a Class 1 HGV Driver.

Daily Duties will include:

Conducting collections of bulk baled and loose waste material (using a walking floor) from our range of key customers. Requirement to operate a Moffett attachment (Truck mounted forklift), experience/qualification preferred however training can be given. Carry out thorough daily inspection checks as a legal requirement and complete defect and damage reports. Be fully compliant with the Transport WTD within tachograph legislation requirements. Ensure full compliance with Company Health & Safety procedures and regulations at all times. Follow appropriate reporting processes where necessary in the event of incident and near-miss occurrences. Ensure uniform/PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty and is kept in a clean, tidy and serviceable manner in accordance with company and Health & Safety requirements. Provide a high level of customer service at all times to external and internal customers. Be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles. Follow company processes and procedures regarding completion of documentation and paperwork. You will be required to record all work movements digitally on a tablet for which training will be given. Report for work on time and ensure satisfactory completion of duty hours. Must be fluent in English. Familiar with use of handheld PDA devices and Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams. (Training will be given).
Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 HGV licence with no more than 6 penalty points and a valid Driver CPC

Monday to Friday + Saturday mornings on a rota No nights out Approximately 52 hours per week. Must be flexible on start/finish times. (start time will vary but will range from 0430 and could be required to finish at 1830). Please do not apply if you are not able to commit to the Saturday morning rota as this is a requirement to service a key contract.
Salary: starting from 15.64 per hour up to 47.5 hours and 21.75 for any hours thereafter. This rate of pay will be reviewed after a successful probationary period.
