Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CLASS 1 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Driver with a valid HGV licence. Experience with flatbed driving is highly desirable. Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics operations is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
