Duties

Operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and box trucks with precision and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling techniques, maintaining accuracy and care. Deliver goods efficiently across designated routes, adhering to schedules and traffic laws while maintaining excellent customer service. Assist with yard jockey duties or yard movements when required to optimize fleet operations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance needs.

Experience

Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with various types of freight including freight loads, heavy haul, freight containers, or military logistics is advantageous. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and proficiency in using load & unload equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts. Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients. Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Valid driver's license with a Class 1 (or equivalent) certification; additional endorsements such as tanker or heavy haul are a plus.
