HGV Class 1
drivers
Looking for 2 x drivers to start
immediately.
Multi-drop deliveries on a bulk blower or curtain side lorry.
Working from our feed mill in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. You will be responsible for effective on time delivery of feed to farms all over Scotland. Agricultural experience will be preferred. Along with knowledge of working time directive and EU regulations with an up to date CPC.
Hours may vary although a 40 hour week Mon-Fri would be standard plus overtime at x 1.5.
Flexibility is essential.
Standard Monday to Friday working days with occasional Saturday shifts.
Key Responsibilities are to:
Delivery goods to farm on time and in a professional manner
Load vehicle with feed
Complete daily vehicle condition reports and defect books
Good communication skills
Complete all relevant paperwork
Drive vehicles in a safe, lawful manner
Good time keeping

Duties
Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
