Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations. Your primary duties will include operating a heavy goods vehicle, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations, and providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Driving:

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all road laws and regulations.

Deliveries:

Transport goods to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct daily checks on your vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Report any issues or defects immediately.

Load & Unload:

Assist with the loading and unloading of goods when necessary, ensuring all items are handled with care.

Customer Service:

Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers, ensuring their needs are met.

Compliance:

Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.
Qualifications:

Valid HGV Class 1 License:

Must hold a current and valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license.

Driver CPC:

Up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Tachograph Card:

A valid digital tachograph card.

Experience:

Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver is preferred but not essential.

Clean Driving Record:

A clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
