Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role involves operating box body lorries and requires a valid commercial driving licence. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting materials across various locations, maintaining the vehicle, and adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate box body lorries safely and efficiently for the transportation of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving in compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation. Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for this position.
