Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role requires proficiency in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a focus on timely deliveries.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting safety at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy loads as required during loading/unloading operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 17.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 60 per week
