HGV Class 1 Driver
Speke Freight Terminal are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver.

What is the Role ?

Due to our rapid growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Class 1 driver to join the team. This will be a mixture of local and distance work using curtain siders and shunting containers from Liverpool Port. Occassionally you will be required to drive a rigid.

Monday - Friday (some Saturday morning as and when required)

14 per hour

50hrs per week + overtime.

Based in Knowsley.

HGV Driver Requirements:

Category C&E driving licence (3 minor points only)

Minimum 2 years experience and 30 years old due to insurance

Up to date CPC Card

Digital Tacho card

Good geographical knowledge of the UK.

Container experience

A good knowledge of strapping and securing loads.

A good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD

HGV Driver Responsibilities:

Delivery/collection of products on behalf of customers throughout the UK.

To ensure that all company Health & Safety policies are adhered to by you and others at all times.

Ensure all aspects safety and customer site rules are adhered to.

Responsible for the security of any products carried whilst in transit.

To drive defensively and fuel efficiently at all times.

Ensuring all delivery and collection notes and paperwork are correct.

Provide accurate paperwork relevant to debriefing of allocated jobs.

Ensuring all transport legislation including driver's hours and vehicle defect reporting is adhered to.
