Due to new contract, We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, securing loads appropriately for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and best practices. Ability to drive flatbed lorries safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
