Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our Scrap Metal Recycling team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety .
This role requires driving various Class 1 & 2 wagons including RoRo's and Skip Trucks and a Flatbed . As a HGV Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our deliveries/ collections meet customer expectations and are executed with professionalism.
Duties
Operate Class 1 Bulker/Tipper (Main Job Role) Occasional curtain sider work when needed. Operate Class 2 lorries including RoRo's , Skips & Flatbeds (Occassional) Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with Transport regarding collection/ delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
