Duties

Operate a flatbed lorry or Tautliner to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving. Excellent navigational skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid commercial driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.
