Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and skilled night HGV drivers to join our team, to move trailers from our depot in Leigh to various locations around the UK, from Reading in the south to Livingston in the north,

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. You need to be flexible with regards to working hours and may involve driving anything from a Luton van to our 44t tractor units.

Drive lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules. Some manual handling required. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV license. Driver CPC essential Night trunk operation experience essential. Strong navigation skills and familiarity with regional routes. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and logs.
