Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations. This role involves operating curtain side lorries and requires a valid commercial driving licence. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, maintaining the integrity of the cargo, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Duties

Operate curtain side lorries safely and efficiently in compliance with traffic laws and company policies Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met Load and secure cargo on the curtain sider, ensuring it is transported safely Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with curtain sider lorries Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
