The Dudman Group of Companies have a vacancy for a Class 1 HGV Driver to operate from our Petworth Depot.

Based primarily in West Sussex, the Group is a substantial business producing primary sand and gravel, crushed rock sub-bases and Armour Rock from both land-based and marine sources together with being producers of Ready Mixed Concrete. With extensive reserves, our market position is also supported further by a number of strategic wharves and comprehensive Recycling operations in the south ensuring a consistent quality supply to all major client contracts as well as our strong and highly valued regular customers.

Key responsibilities:

Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure that the vehicle is always kept safe and legal. To ensure safe loading and operation of vehicle at all times. Comply with driving hours and working time directives. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Road Transportation legislation at all times. Follow site rules and regulations, including the correct use of PPE. Ensure vehicle is kept tidy and cleaned regularly.

An excellent team player who can demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and a positive attitude Good demonstrable record of timekeeping Ability to work under pressure Hold a full Class 1 driving licence Digital Tachocard and CPC No IN10 or DR10 endorsements No more than 6 points

Preferred attributes:

Bulk tipper driving experience preferred, however full training will be given to the right candidate who shows the right attributes for a long term and rewarding career
