Overview


We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. The job is to share with a current member of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in operating curtain sided vehicles and ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely manner. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellent service.

Duties



Working Wednesday to Saturday, ideally with nights out. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Communicate effectively with the Transport Team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Follow all safety protocols to minimise risks while driving and handling cargo.

Experience



Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence is essential. 12 months experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment A commitment to providing outstanding customer service during deliveries.
