Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, as the role may involve securing loads and navigating various delivery routes.

Responsibilities

Operate a lorry in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance. Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
