Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate a lorry to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving. Ability to operate refrigerated lorries safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
