Hgv Class 1 Driver
Job Description
Pawson Transport are a family run business based near Rotherham. Due to being awarded a new contract we are looking to recruit HGV class 1 drivers. Various shifts available including part-time.
Nights out are available.
The ideal candidate will hold a C + E (Class 1) HGV Licence.
Knowledge of drivers' hours and Work Time Directive
Knowledge of tachograph compliance
Experience of working within a high-volume customer service environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of goods nationwide to customer sites in a timely and professional manner, whilst keeping within relevant legislation for drivers' hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).
Key Accountabilities
Ensure vehicle is loaded safely and correctly
Ensure vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and kept clean
Delivery of loads on time and in full
Maintain Working Time Directive (WTD) records
Ability to work on own
Complete any necessary paperwork as required
Smart appearance
