We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities

Safely operate class 1 tipper or walking floor vehicles to transport goods to designated destinations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal and company standards. Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues that may arise during transit. Follow all road safety laws and regulations, including hours of service limitations. Report any vehicle defects or accidents promptly to management.

Skills

Strong driving skills with a good driving record. Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance standards within the UK. Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently. Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely. Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Ability to work independently and remain focused during long hours on the road. Prior experience as a delivery driver is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
