Job Description

Day to Day:

o

Collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions to Screwfix stores

o

Consistently ensure customer expectations are met

o

Ensure all documentation is completed and returned accurately at the end of each shift

o

Adhere to specific time restrictions given under current legislation

o

Adhere to legislative regulations and company policies

o

Driving activities will generally consist of inter-site and intra-site deliveries, supplier collections around the UK

o

Cross training on warehouse activities may be given to offer flexibility and business continuity to the operation

o

Types of fleet include: Standard Artic, Urban Trailers, Double Decker Trailers, Curtain siders and Fleet Volvo Tractor Units

What will you bring?

o Must have a valid Class 1 licence
o Have over 1 years' experience driving Class 1
o Full CPC Qualification
o Must hold Digital tachograph card
o Must not have more than 7 points on licence
o Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
o A responsible and reliable attitude
o Experience of multi drop collection and deliveries together with experience of working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage, although full training will be provided
o The ability to safely lift or move heavy items
