Job Description

David Smith St Ives Ltd is a Timber Engineering Business based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire. We design & manufacture timber product for the construction industry.

Due to the increased demand for our products we are increasing our transport capacity, therefore we are looking to recruit Full Time Class 1 HGV Drivers.

Employed on a 44-hour contract, with an average working week of approx. 50-hours, working week Monday - Friday with no nights out required.

Duties to include:

Daily Vehicle Checks

Ensure loads are secure & safe before departure

Deliveries are to be completed according to customer / site requirements

Ensure all delivery documents are signed, dated & returned

Maintain a high level of customer service

We would expect a successful candidate to:

Hold a clean driving license

Hold a Drivers CPC card

Be reliable & flexible

Have a smart appearance, company clothing will be provided

Have a polite & professional attitude both with customers & work colleagues

Job Type - Full Time (Monday - Friday)

Experience - Driving 1 year (preferred)

Licence / Certification - Driver CPC

Salary - OTE - 40,000 per year
