We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently for the delivery of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and records. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients effectively.
