Job Description

Chris Wright Baildon Ltd are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to operate heavy haulage vehicles rated up to 80 tonnes under STGO Category 3. This is a full-time, permanent role based from our Baildon depot, carrying out nationwide transport of specialist plant and equipment.

The Role

Driving modern, well-maintained HGVs on heavy haulage operations. Transporting plant, machinery and specialist equipment nationwide. Regular nights out required (allowance paid for each night out). Ensuring all loads are secured safely and in line with STGO requirements. Carrying out vehicle checks, completing paperwork and maintaining compliance. Working with the transport office to ensure timely, safe deliveries.
What We're Looking For

Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence. CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Proven experience in heavy haulage and abnormal loads (STGO). Knowledge of load security and safe working practices. Flexibility with hours, including regular nights out. Professional manner with customers and the public.
Pay & Benefits

Annual earnings typically range between 38,220 - 47,000, depending on overtime. Overnight allowance: 26.20 per night out (tax-free). 22 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. Overtime opportunities.
