We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting scrap and waste safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage logistics effectively.
Duties
Operate mainly the artic lorry and occasionally a rigid lorry to haulage in various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate haulage logs and documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding haulage schedules and any potential delays.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a hailage driver is preferred, particularly with artic lorries.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
