Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be working locally delivering and collecting pallets starting at 5am until finish around 3.00pm, no nights out Monday to Friday. This role is to collect a trunk from Bilston and then deliver and collect pallets locally within the TF postcode area. This position will involve driving both Artics and 17tonners.

Responsibilities

Delivering pallets locally in Telford and then collecting pallets in the area. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with line manager and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients professionally.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and road safety regulations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading.
