Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a Temporary Basis until Christmas with the Possibility to go Permanent subject to the right Candidate.

Responsibilities

Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and deadlines. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered en route. Comply with all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK. Experience in handling delivery schedules efficiently while maintaining safety protocols. Familiarity with route planning tools and GPS navigation systems is preferred. Previous experience in logistics or freight transportation is advantageous but not essential for motivated candidates willing to learn. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain, requiring a dedicated professional committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
