We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team.

12 hours a day, a.m. shift or p.m. shift. typically trunking at a major parcel carrier in Rugby CV21.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, with experience in delivering goods efficiently and safely. This role offers an opportunity to work with a reputable organisation committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent service delivery. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations for various 3rd party partners during the peak season, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and maintenance.

Duties

Operate articulated lorries for the transportation of goods to designated destinations. General Haulage, curtain-sider or Amazon box trailers. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency with plenty of support from the planning team. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during driving duties. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered on the road. Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, Usually customer's forklift and bay loading, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) and appropriate category for artic lorry operation. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with articulated lorries or similar vehicles. Strong knowledge of driving regulations within the UK and good navigational skills. Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely under various weather conditions. Excellent organisational skills with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability. Physical fitness for loading/unloading cargo when necessary. Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable. A clean driving record with no recent endorsements or penalties related to road safety. Pay: 20.50-22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 60 per week
