Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, but not mandatory.

Duties

Operate a Double deck lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, securing loads appropriately. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records, including mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.

Skills

Proven experience as a class 1 hgv driver in commercial driving roles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to operate Double deck trailers safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and ensuring load security. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
