Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable.

LTD Drivers accepted for this position with rates from 19 - 22 ph

Duties

Operate Containers for the delivery of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Experience as a commercial driver, particularly with Containers lorries, is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in delivery driving. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
