Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and compliance. General haulage with a possible 2/3 nights out a week.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C licence) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Familiarity with flatbed lorries is an advantage. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
