Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly with flatbed vehicles.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while on the road. Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving preferred, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving heavy vehicles. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
