Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations across UK. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes. Role will require Night Out's through the week.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and traffic patterns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to safety and transportation.

Qualifications

Clean commercial driving licence Class 1 (C+E) Proven 2 years experience as a Class 1 Driver due to insurance requirments. Familiarity with Curtain Sider & Refridgerated operations is an advantage. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55 - 65 per week
