Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly delivering containers, and will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service while adhering to all transportation regulations. It also requires someone who uses their own initiative.

Duties

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for mainly containers operation. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the logistics industry. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads. Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently when required.
