Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The work is suitable for someone who enjoy tramping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Duties

Safely drive and operate curtainside and skeleton lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, prioritising safety at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. 2 years previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with curtainsider & skeleton trailer operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
