We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving conditions.

Responsibilities

Transporting goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions. Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
