Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid commercial driving licence and have experience in operating flatbed vehicles. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road. Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record. Experience as a delivery driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is preferred. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 20.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week
