Hgv Class 1 Driver
Job Description
We are looking for a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver.
Based out of Thorpe in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Our work load varies between flatbed work and container work. So knowledge of how to secure loads is essential! This does include sheeting occasionally.
The right candidate will;
-Have a valid C+E Entitlement with less then 6 penalty points and no driving bans
-Have a valid CPC & Tachograph card
-Good work ethic, well mannered, self motivated and has good communication skills
-Have a good & up to date knowledge of driving hours
-Knowledge of securing various different loads
- Over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes)
Responsibilities
Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road regulations and safety standards. Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining accurate delivery records. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Utilize flatbed, curtain and low loader trailers when required, ensuring proper loading and securing of loads. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns professionally.
Basic salary for 50hours is between 36,000-43,000 per annum depending on experiance etc. This is before overtime. Pay for nights out & meal allowance.
