Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills, particularly in skip lorry controls.

Operate a lorry to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner. Ensure that all deliveries are completed according to schedule and customer requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload skips, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience as skip lorry driver would be preferred. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and securing cargo. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
