We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbeds.

Duties

Operate lorries and vans for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient delivery schedules are met.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for van and flatbed operation. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. A commitment to safety and adherence to all driving regulations. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on delivery schedules.
