C1 Tramping Driver
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over short or long distances, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. You must have a class 1 licence and deliver containers from all major ports.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up containers from docks, rail freight/inbound terminals and deliver goods to designated locations.
- Follow traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate driving logs and complete necessary paperwork. Must have good understanding of tacho laws and how to operate digi cards.
Skills:
- Proficient in driving container skellys. If needed may be other trailers but this is rare.
- Must have a valid CPC card. Driving licence class 1. Articulated vehicles.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- FULL TIME. Salary plus nights out and meal allowance.
