Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and conscientious full-time and weekend HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience. Candidates will ideally hold a current CO/AVSEC training for known cargo. You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations. Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo and/or loading of empties, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork related to shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other staff members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients.

Skills

Minimum of 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules and documentation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and depot staff effectively. Very good punctuality.

Pay

Weekly pay via PAYE 20/hour Monday-Saturday 21/hour Sundays and Bank Holidays
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-21.00 per hour
